In January 2015 we submitted an addendum to our Section 36 planning application for a wind farm with an installed capacity of approximately 54MW, comprising of 18 turbines, each with a tip height of 110m, located north-west of the village of Glenbarr in West Kintyre.
Our original application, submitted in 2012, was for 19 turbines, each 125m to blade tip, however following consultation with Argyll & Bute Council, we revised the application by reducing the height and number of turbines proposed.
Initially reducing turbine numbers to 18, we have taken the decision to remove turbine number 17 in order to reduce the potential impacts of the development.
The final proposals are therefore for a 17 turbine development with a total installed capacity of up to 51MW.
